Linh Trung Export Processing Zone is a joint venture project between Vietnam and China. The Chinese side is China Electricity Import-Export Limited Liability Company, the Vietnamese side is Tan Thuan Industrial Development One Member Limited Liability Company. The total investment capital of the project is 65,500,000 USD, the legal capital is 17,000,000 USD, each party contributes 50% of the capital, the total area is 327.50 ha. Linh Trung Export Processing Zone includes: Zone I, Zone II and Zone II.

Linh Trung I Export Processing Zone is located in Thu Duc District, in the northeast of Ho Chi Minh City with an area of ​​62 hectares, 16 km from the city center, about 2 km from the train station, going to the national highway. convenient geography. Linh Trung Export Processing Zone 1 has an altitude of 19 30m above sea level, very hard soil suitable for industrial purposes. This zone is planned into two parts: an export processing zone (52 ha) and an industrial zone (0 ha). During the period from early 1995 to 2000, Linh Trung Export Processing Zone implemented a rolling investment method, completed the clearance, built infrastructure and public utilities. By 2000, the lease was completed with all 27 companies, the total investment capital was over 485 million USD. Investors are mainly from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan. Main industry is light industry with product and machine processing. Total export value in 2018 reached 1.29 billion USD, creating job opportunities for more than 41,000 workers.

In the situation that Linh Trung I Export Processing Zone was completed, the Joint Venture Company of Linh Trung Export Processing Zone started exploiting Linh Trung II Export Processing Zone in May 2000. Zone || about 7km from Zone I, with a total area of ​​61.7ha, also located in Thu Duc District of Ho Chi Minh City. The zone is planned to be half an export processing zone and half an industrial park. Up to now, Linh Trung II Zone has had 37 investors come to rent land and standard factories, with a total investment of more than 209 million USD, leased to fill the area, Total export turnover in 2018 reached 1, 06 billion USD, creating job opportunities for more than 28,000 workers. Compared to Zone I, Zone II provides more standard cassava factories for investors.
